West Greenland Kayak 2

High time for an update. After months of searching for Chicago suppliers of dimensional ballistic nylon and 2 part urethane, i gave in and had it shipped from Seattle. Thus, i finally got around to oiling the frame, finishing and oiling the paddle, cutting the masik out of a branch for added strength, putting in final fittings like deck beams and internal pulleys for float bags, and finally sewing and shrinking the skin. I broke out the old steam bending skills on the combing for the cockpit, and sewed it to the skin with waxed nylon. Hopefully this weekend i can get it sealed and waterproofed and take it out in the Belmont harbor... provided i don't keep drinking bourbon straight through each weekend.
