West Greenland Kayak

I gave up drinking for Lent and all i got was this stupid Kayak. Built in my bedroom without plans using traditional methods and measurements from the paddler's height, center of gravity, etc. I should also mention that there is no glue, screws, or nails; just pegs, tenons, and lashing. I steam bent the wood, and formed the hull by eye. Thats right... I'm cooler than your dad. I'll make a new post when i add the skin.

  2. I was impressed this afternoon when we talked about the boat. But now after seeing the photographs of the process and it taking shape I am blown away. Every master craftsman has an apprentice, let me know if you would be willing to teach me your skills or let me help test ride these works of art. Heather
